'Shine a Light' Event
Shining a light on the negative impact of
abortion in Canada

Thank you to everyone who joined us in 2023 for this prayer and witness event to shine a light on the impact of abortion, and remember lives lost.
For many years, we have hosted an illuminated display, focusing on the fact that over 4,000,000 lives have been lost from abortion in Canada. For an hour, we display the number of abortions in large, illuminated number cutouts. We also hold signs with other pro-life and pregnancy help information.
Once again, on January 29, 2024, we will be gathering in front of Guelph City Hall. Through this event we hope to raise awareness in our community of the impact of abortion.
All welcome to attend! Please be sure to dress warm.
The History
On January 28, 1988, the Supreme Court struck down Canada's abortion law, leaving no protection for unborn children.
Since that time, abortion on demand has been legal during all nine months of pregnancy.
Please note that because January 28 falls on a Sunday in 2024 we will be hosting Shine a Light on January 29.
