Gendercide Awareness 2013: Guelph & Area RTL at the National March for Life – Day 1

In 2012 over 18,000 Canadians from across the nation gathered on Parliament Hill as part of the annual March for Life. These Canadians represented hundreds of thousands of others who believe humans who are not yet born deserve to be recognized as human and protected under Canadian law. They are aware that Canada is currently the only Western nation with no law or restriction on when a life within the womb can be terminated; an unborn baby can be aborted at any time, for any reason, even at nine months gestation. This injustice has driven the crowd to gather yet again. This year we are calling attention not only to Canada’s lack of abortion legislation, but also to the secret injustice of gendercide. In 2010, data showed that a total of 117 million girls were ‘missing’ worldwide — aborted because they were female. It happens in Canada and in locations as close as Brampton and Mississauga.

Edmund Burke said that the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Guelph & Area Right to Life staff recognize that the region is full of good people, many who need no convincing to act once injustice is realized. The staff are also aware many within the region desired to attend the march this year but were unable to for various legitimate reasons. As a result we have created this blog space as an avenue specifically for you who had to remain behind to stay informed with the latest March for Life happenings and key information. All info posted from May 8th – 10th is captured directly from the G & A RTL staff on location in Ottawa. Read, comment and spread within your network– Break the silence and advance awareness of the injustice of gendercide in Canada.
