What We Believe:

1.  In spite of the many complexities we face in the world today, there is one issue which can only be understood in absolute terms:
the inherent value and dignity of all innocent human life, from its beginning to its end.

2.  Respect for the inherent value and dignity of all human life is non-sectarian in nature, transcending in race, religion, social status, and all other potentially divisive classifications.

3.  From the moment of fertilization onwards, a unique human being comes into existence where none existed before.  Accordingly, this person rightfully deserves full constitutional protection, as promised by law to all other members of our society.

4.  From the moment of fertilization onwards, a pregnant woman is, in fact, a mother.  Accordingly, she deserves to be treated with all due respect and support awarded this time-honoured vocation.

5.  Induced abortion, by any means, is a human tragedy--one which destroys an innocent child, as well as physically and psychologically traumatizing the woman involved.

6.  Women who have had abortions should never be judged or treated with contempt.  More often than not, the decisions they made to abort were based on ignorance, coercion, or wishful thinking.  Instead, they should be treated with concern and respect and, if appropriate, gently encouraged to take the first steps on the pathway to healing.

7Those who advocate "pro-choice" or "pro-euthanasia" stance are, for the most part, victims of either misinformation or misplaced compassion.  Accordingly, we who hold strong pro-life beliefs should never be afraid to express our opinions to these individuals, confidently and courteously.

8.  It is our responsibility to proclaim the truth about the inherent value and dignity of all innocent human life, especially in defense of the vulnerable and voiceless in our society: the unborn, the infirm, the elderly and the dying.
